This is early notice that Roger will be out of town next week and I will be committed to a photography gig on Thursday and Friday nights next week.

Therefore, we will cancel the Tech Night on August 13 and resume in September with the next TECH NIGHT.

As for repeater update.

We have a quote of $1700 to climb the County radio tower and install an antenna, provide 200’ of 7/8” Hardline with connectors, and a standoff for our DB-224E antenna, donated by Eric Corin.

In addition, the first Quantar repeater had the Power Amplifier fail at 13 months, which was well out of warranty. The repair costs on that was $650 counting shipping back to Sunny Communications.

We have a pledge of $850 toward the global cost and the Club has ~$2400 in the bank.

So, we can fund this effort but any and all donations toward the effort to move the PJ Repeater onto the County tower, and leave a full backup setup at Daniel’s, will be appreciated.

We are also looking at a duplexer for Daniel’s location.
